The spring design season is in full swing, with lots of exciting events and gatherings to attend, and lots of colleagues to see. Here's a highlight of what's coming up next:
D&D Design Days at the D&D Building, NYC, on May 24; Interior Design magazine's second annual NYCxDesign Awards hosted at the Museum of Modern Art on May 20th, and Opening Night at the A&D Building, May 22nd.
Also be sure to mark your calendar for the 45th Annual Kips Bay Decorator Show House. It will take place at the 125 East 65th St. townhouse from May 2nd to June 1st.
Enjoy visiting the rooms decorated by some of New York's premier designers and be inspired!
In addition, the International Contemporary Furniture Fair returns to the Jacob Javits Center from May 21st to 24th. From designer talks to aisles full of innovative home furnishings, we look forward to what's in store this year.
Spring showroom openings this season include a new space for Häfele at 22 West 20th Street, showcasing the company's hardware and specialty fittings. German Kitchen Center also has a new location in New York City, on Amsterdam Ave., near 69th.
Finally, if you or someone you know would like to become a member of the NKBA Manhattan chapter and enjoy the many benefits of membership, I invite you to contact Charlotte Barnard, our VP Membership, at charbarnard@yahoo.com.
So, there's much to see and do this Spring, go out, explore and have fun! See you soon.
