From the President

Season's Greetings! Our Winter Social at the GROHE Live! Center was a magical night of fun. We were so happy to see you, our good friends, brand ambassadors, designers, and members, enjoying yourself, in the spirit of the season. Thank you for braving the cold to toast our final event of the year. And thank you, Interior Design Society, New York City Chapter, and Designers Lighting Forum of New York, for continuing our joint party tradition. We all had a ball!

So, another great year for NKBA Manhattan passes and the winds of change are upon us. In January, a new Council (formerly, the Board) will begin its term. During my two-year term as President, I have been honored to work with the dedicated men and women of the Board. I sincerely thank each of you for your fellowship and service to the membership. I am proud that during my tenure our chapter won three awards at KBIS 2017, one of which was the Best Chapter Program Award (for our pet-centered "Design Unleashed" program in 2016). Also in 2017, we began to lay the groundwork for a Student Outreach Program, and in sponsorship, we attracted new sponsors over the last two years who are excited to be a part of NKBA Manhattan.

Taking the reins to lead this great chapter as President next year is our Communications VP and top-notch designer, Toni Sabatino. Toni and the Council will continue the chapter's work, with gusto!

Finally, a hearty "thank you" to our sponsors! And thank you, members and designers, for being with us; we do this all for you. Cheers to you and yours for a happy holiday season. See you in the New Year!
