From the President

Connectivity is a word I hear quite often lately. The engineering of appliances, alarms, cameras, lighting, music, and even cars to be interconnected among our personal devices is quite fascinating. How we use this technology to design spaces that create comfort and ease for our clients is becoming more and more important. The program for our April 11 chapter meeting, hosted by B/S/H/ at their showroom in in the A&D Building, will offer a look at luxury smart homes and include a demonstration of Home Connect products and partner integrations. This special presentation is free to members and their guests, and we will have a drawing during which we will be giving away an Alexa in celebration of your connectivity with NKBA Manhattan.

Connecting with your fellow NKBA members has also never been easier. The ability to upload photos and a profile to the NKBA.org website makes it feel as though we are all only a click away from each other. I encourage you to visit the new site and upload your profile if you haven’t done so already.

Connecting and bonding with brands is another benefit that comes with your NKBA Manhattan membership. Be sure to ask a council member how you can get involved.

The ability to connect face to face with colleagues and peers will always be my favorite benefit of NKBA membership. Please consider bringing a guest that could benefit from networking with our group to the meeting on April 11. I hope to connect with you there!
