New Zealand Design

Our September Chapter Meeting continued on the trending theme of global design influences in the kitchen and bath industry at the Fisher & Paykel Experience Center in the A&D Building. Attendees enjoyed a CEU on "New Zealand Design," presented by Andrea Arnao, design development manager, which covered wide-ranging topics from leveraging natural light in the kitchen and adjacent living rooms, incorporating a variety of natural textures including stone, wood and greenery, and making the kitchen space smarter and more engaged with the natural surrounds. As New Zealand prides itself on its natural beauty and timeless landscapes, attendees were able to view a range of beautifully designed homes during the presentation. Executive Chef Tageré Southwell prepared a beautiful buffet for attendees that featured a taste of New Zealand-style cuisine, which was thoroughly enjoyed by all.
