I hope everyone enjoyed National Kitchen and Bath Month! I know I did! NKBA Manhattan Gold Chapter Sponsor, Gringer & Sons, celebrated their 100th business anniversary this year! Our chapter helped them celebrate at their 1st Avenue showroom—where they’ve been operating continuously since 1918. Don't you love that iconic neon sign?!

October was also Archtober. A month full of learning opportunities, the semi-annual Architect’s Newspaper Cocktail Crawl, the A&D Wine and Design event, and much more! Our industry continues to be full of opportunity and our national leadership continues to create strategic alliances.

The newly announced partnership, with the Living In Place Institute, offers members a discount on this all-important certification. The alliance with CEDIA offers an opportunity to become better versed in technology, making us more valuable to our clients. It helps designers and architects develop strategic partnerships, with technology designers, increasing your clients user experience that will now equal your aesthetic. It will be very interesting to see what technology offerings show up in February at KBIS 2019.

November is a membership drive month for our chapter. Please consider bringing a colleague to our chapter meeting on 11/29. It will be hosted by, Chapter Gold Sponsor, Benjamin Moore at their New York Design Center showroom. The .1 CEU "Creating Healthy Living Environments with Paint Technology" is extremely informative along with the great networking you can always expect at an NKBA gathering.
